In Cinema 4d, I have learnt how to use Modifiers – bend, taper, bulge, and twist. I have never used these Modifiers before and had no clue what they were about so I looked at youtube and found a tutorial. Figured out what I had to do and away I went….
Bend on Cinema 4D is about when you can bend any objects such as the back of a chair or metal objects.
I experimented using the bend and used shape of cylinder and bend together.
This shows how I bent the chair.
Taper??? mmmm, Well I have no clue about Taper and never used before but I think taper is when you stretch the top of a box to make it wider. Tried experimenting but obviously need to practice more and get some more understanding about how and when to use it.
Bulge??? mmmm, Well again I have no idea about the bulge tool so experimented in Cinema 4D. Took the sphere and added the Bulge to join together. Don’t know what this image is and will leave it to the viewers imagination… For me I think it could be the beginnings of a mushroom, a spaceship or a bottle top. I will have to learn more about using bulge in Cinema 4D.
I have never used twist and had to look at youtube yet again.
They created a screw so took the easy route, followed the instructions and managed to get my screw to do the twist!
Taa-taa!!!! Here is the screw and loved watching the twist and hopefully will twist my own object sometime.
In Cinema 4D to make the screw I added the twist and taper together.
